John Fowler's R&D division strives continuously to develop new products in the field of filtration to keep pace with latest market requirements. The design department is equipped with the latest design software facilities and technical data base. It is manned by experienced professionals who can understand customer requirement fully and convert into optimally designed products. The company has exclusive product development department for this purpose.

The laboratory and test house have the latest test rigs for testing and performance evaluation of filter media, filter elements and filters as per national and international standards and also as per customer specifications/standards such as Komatsu, API, ARAMCO etc. R&D team has expertise to design required special test rigs as per requirement so that the products are tested and evaluated. The R&D facility is approved by DSIR (Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Govt of India).

The special test rigs developed for specific requirements are approved by various research establishments such as BARC, DRDE, RDSO etc. With these facilities, the company is in a position to develop new products as per customer's requirements quickly with optimal design and assured performance. Continuous work is carried out for product improvement such as enhanced performance, greater reliability, value engineering etc.
